Rhuidean was unenterable in TAR, but Rand and Asmo had no difficulty Traveling there. It was most likely just warded, and all the wards were destroyed during Rand and Asmo's battle.
And walked in.

Anyway at least Perrin could get into the area covered be the Dreamspike. So either the settings on the one at Rhuidean were different or there was none.
