It would be annoying to see "The Wheel of Time" fall into the nebulous "Star Wars" expanded universe segment of the bookstore. I actually think fanfiction changing one or more of the events in the actual books would be more interesting that reading about a random culture we've never heard of in some corner of the world RJ never got around to writing.
