Any time we've seen them interact with Black Ajah, it's been all creepy silver light and demanding obeisances. Whoever attacked Sheriam also shielded her, something we haven't seen any of the forsaken bother to do, since average Aes Sedai are so much weaker than they. It seems plausible to me that the attacker was Delana, or Moria.

I haven't got my books to hand though so possibly I'm misremembering a forsaken-pointing detail.
