Well we certainly don't know what his plan was DrJacJacMcScrumptious Send a noteboard - 16/04/2011 10:47:38 PM
Though the 3 answers from the Doorway in Tear are not yet accounted for and Rand thinks he has a way to possibly kill the DO, so saying he doesn't have a plan is like when people accus Ramd of doing nothing in later books - not totally in line with the evidence of the writing.

However we haven't seen much of his POV and therefore his plans at all of late. His revelation seems to have made it easier to implement his ideas and to get the world behind him at last and I think he is using Egwene to rally all the world in one place for him, but we know so little of his actual plans now or 3-4 books ago that it is impossible to assess how they may have been changed by his revelation.

I'm glad he's back on the right though, even if I hold to my view that some people have been overly critical of Rand recently or at least criticised him for the wrong things
And the answer came to her instantly: pride. Oh, you hear them say it's a sin; you hear them say it goes before a fall. the shepherd prides himself on keeping the wolf out from the flock. We pride ourselves on making a good history of our lives, a good story to be told.
