It seems to fit a lot of the WoT scientific principles, and would fit with a lot of the information we've been given so far.

There is a certain logic to the idea that the "door" to the DO was first opened on this side of reality, but must be closed on the other side.

Where the hell were you, Dr. Jac, when I asked everyone how they would defeat the DO?
