Re: Anyone have a fair idea of the value of hardbacks signed by RJ? *NM* Silence_DoGood Send a noteboard - 27/06/2011 08:39:17 PM
I'm in somewhat of a financial crunch (due in part to having spent several months working on a non-fiction book that won't pay me anything for months - note me or reply if interested in details), so I've been selling off various stuff.

It occurred to me that I don't really appreciate my signed copies of WoT hardbacks that I have, but someone else who never got a chance to get signatures and meet RJ really might. Or collectors.

I don't know what kind of value to assign to them/ask, as I know there are probably a good number of signed copies out there.

Part of me wants to hang onto them, but I've never looked at them, so I'm just chalking it up to my hoarding instincts. Personally, I value his writing and my memories of reading WoT books more than a signature, anyway.

I also don't think I have proof of the signatures. It's possible there's still a line number bookmark from those signings at Joe Beth, but I doubt it. His signature is kinda distinctive, though.
Edit: Nope, I don't have proof. Only signing thing I have left is the line number for Knife of Dreams, which I didn't go get signed. That was the last time he came to my city, I think.

Any suggestions and/or offers?

I have the following books signed:
Crown of Swords
Path of Daggers
Winter's Heart
Crossroads of Twilight

I suggest putting them up for sale on EBay. If all else fails, find a vintage bookstore. - 28/06/2011 06:52:08 PM 474 Views
