the women I have known do communicate through multiple avenues that men may not find direct enough or clear enough or that seems overly complex. I think a good reflection on this part is the differnce between cream, eggshell and off-white. There is an actual difference between those colors but males on the whole either can not see the distiction or don't believe it is worth distingusihing. I think this same concept applies to male and female communication. And I think the fault of men and readers as a whole is to pretend that cream is not different from eggshell and that they don't have different affects. Or to be more specific that going through the trouble of expressing themselves with shades of white is childish and frivolous when they could just express themselves with white.

Why isn't a sniff a perfectly reasonable expression of distaste. Why should someone upset with you have to spell out why they are upset? particularly when the main reason they are upset is generally because you should KNOW what upsets them and you did whatever you did anyway. you don't go sniffing at people who have no foundation to know why you are sniffing. The modern thing about WOT men and RJ is that they do not doubt that the women have cause even when they are unsure what the cause is.
