I think they mentioned Fain raping a woman or 2 and what about Eladia and the sister the rebels sent to her? If she wasn't getting raped there was alot of emotional abuse going on there. Semirhage's torture scene of the sister and her warder. all of those things are in the book, but rarely are they labeled as "rape" or "torture" while it is happening. I mean when Fain killed that womans kid and decided he wantred a woman, then she started screaming and stuff and he was mad at Rand cause Fain had to hurt her. thats one of the best scenes in the book. I think it has more to do with the rapers being evil, not the rapees. If you compare it to that piece of crap that GRRM put out, I think there is an equal amout of brutality in both books but it is worded better in WoT. and seriously you can't turn on the tv anymore without hearing about someone being raped, in a tv show or the news or whatever, I am more concerned about the scenes of the cookpots and the shodow making the swords with peoples souls, that is messed up stuff. Maybe we are just so desensitized(sp) to it. Rape is terrible, don't get me wrong but it isn't exactly an unnatural occurance.
