I thought Channeling and weaves were invisible to mundane eyes unless it created a visible effect *NM* Bookwyrm Send a noteboard - 30/10/2011 06:24:39 AM
I really like light painting - it really spurs my imagination to think of how channeling the One Power might look in real life. Click the link to see some cool uses of light effects. There are 8 in this slideshow, and I will describe my impressions as I looked at each one. I will not be wordy.

1. Throwing a fireball, with the first instant of impact
2. The weave for opening a Gateway with saidar
3. Tied off Shields
4. Weaving a Shield and maintaining it with an active connection to the Power
5. Rand's protective ward that was so strong it kept every type of attack or damage at bay (the hilarious one that skidded across the floor like a marble when a Forsaken had tried to attack him)
6. Another ward - maybe one that is used to incinerate the items within if someone passes the first barrier
7. A Fire web used to engulf the interior part with flame and heat
8. This made me think of the weave for Blossoms of Fire
BOHICA - Go ahead, ask me what it means.

I always envisioned the actual process as being more connected to neural networks. - 02/11/2011 05:31:54 PM 284 Views
