Does Team Jordan really need virtually a year from first draft to publication to get the book in relatively error-free form? This assumes, of course, the publicist is working on actual info and not the most conservative publication date that has been floated.

Given the state of ToM, and to some extent TGS (not to mention the disastrous decision to split the books the way they did): yes, without a doubt.

I think they spent about three months or less on TGS and ToM. I think they can pull off a good editing job in six to eight months.

The initial decision to split the books and how to split them is beyond repair now, so I'm not sure how a longer editing timeframe figures into that. I don't think Team Jordan has too much wiggle room or heavy structural decision-making left for AMoL.

In Dragonmount they say it's not a chapter from AMoL. *NM* - 08/11/2011 04:56:03 PM 297 Views

I wish they took two years to edit it - 12/11/2011 12:51:45 AM 617 Views
I think it's unfair to blame the plot and voice on bad editing. Bad writing/foresight, more likely. *NM* - 12/11/2011 01:12:31 AM 226 Views
