The ensuing discussion kind of proves that a road north really wouldn't help Ghealdan, and if their position can't be reinforced from the east, it's still too easy to cut them off from their only allies' closest reinforcements. In terms of a strategy game, this is a territory that is eventually going to be conquered and I would say it is either going to flip to Andoran control via the Two Rivers or Seanchan via imperial expansionism.
