Wheel of Time to be re-released with new cover art. Nate Send a noteboard - 25/01/2012 07:44:24 PM
See the link below for the post on tor.com, complete with pictures of the new covers for the first three books. But essentially, Tor will be re-releasing the entire series as trade paperbacks (the hardback-sized paperbacks) with new cover art. The cover art is based on the wonderful e-book art. The first three books will be released this summer.

No word on whether or not the whole series will be re-released before the final book comes out, but it doesn't look like there'll be time since the first three are coming out one month at a time. However, this gives them a new cover template that they might use for the hardcover of the final book.

My own Wheel of Time collection is partly small paperback and partly hardcover. I don't see myself buying the trade paperbacks, though you never know. If I can't ever find used hardcovers to replace my current paperbacks (Books 1-4 and 6), trade paperbacks might be an okay compromise.

What do you think of the new covers?

Nice, although there seems to be a lot of wasted cover space. *NM* - 26/01/2012 08:20:11 PM 256 Views
