We know that Mesaana sent Alviarin to Tremalking at the same time as the Amayar were committing their mass-suicide, and she seems to have spent some time there. But why? That was sparked off by the female Choedan Kal statue lighting up, not through any machination of the Shadow. Was it to make sure that no one survived? But again, why? What interest did Mesaana (or anyone) have in the death of the Amayar that was urgent enough that Mesaana sent her most useful White Tower proxy away for days or weeks? Or am I overanalying - was it just a bit of foreshadowing on RJ's part before the big reveal?
