Whether it happens or not, it might explain the choice of mind trap victims - Edit 1

I haven't followed the entire thread, but it occurs to me that one way for Rand to find two powerful women to link with while drawing the True Power, would be if the body swap theory between him and Moridin turns out to be true.

Then Rand will find himself in Moridin's body, with the cour'souvra in his possession, and thus have access to total control over the mindtrapped Cyndane and Moghedien - also the two women who are the most powerful in Tel Arhan Rhiod, as it happens.

He could then surrender completely while still being fully in control of them, through their mindtraps, and link to draw the True Power.

Just a thought. Not saying this is going to happen, but it merely answers the question of how Rand could find two submissive females to link with to draw on the True Power.

Callandor draws Saidin. I don't see how it could be used to channel the True Power any more than it could be used to channel Saidar.

Having dismissively dismissed that, though:

Moghedien was captured and forced to teach the DL's enemies; so was Asmodean. Lanfer died in the line of villainy; so did Aginor, Balthamel, and Osan'gar.

Many of the Black Ajah have experienced failure to some degree. And according to Moghedien's POV thoughts in CoS25 ("Mindtrap" ),

Some things could only be done here, some only to those who could channel, and she had brought a number of men and women for this very purpose.

That's a lot of people who could have been mindtrapped. But the only two selected were the two strongest females. After reading your theory, it occurs to me that Moridin picked these two in case he gets hold of Callandor. It's well established that the Forsaken don't normally trust one another enough to link, but the mindtrap would provide Moridin the situation to make it acceptable.
