I rather liked Towers of Midnight on the whole. Rand post-epiphany still gives me goosebumps.

YES. I always loved him, but I got really tired of him through the last four-ish books. I am so glad I can love him again.

I thought Lan's journey to Tarwin's Gap was a lot of fun to read.

I was very amused, but also pretty annoyed. I don't understand why he's always talking about "duty" and how he knows what he's going to do, and then refusing to gather the GIANT army that would follow him. What exactly did he think he was going to accomplish when he got to the blight alone? (Still love him though, just mildly annoyed.)

Perrin really came to fruition in this book. He was my favorite character through book four. Then I hated him until KoD, when he redeemed himself with some great Seanchan scenes and the battle of Malden. Now that he has finally embraced his wolf side, he's back up to awesome status. Which is probably too bad, because the prophecy at the end of the book was heart-wrenching (and kind of creepy, to boot).

I was definitely thrown off by the prophecies. We'll see, I guess. But yes, I liked Perrin in the beginning, then just really had no time for him through the latter middle section. Man, he got stupid. I'm so glad he figured his shit out.

Mat has been the hardest character for me to read under Sanderson's style, as he was the one I liked the most, and his humor/behavior/drive has been lost in translation, as it were. However, I've come to a grudging acceptance that Mat has lost 40-60 IQ in the new books. And his trip to the Tower of Ghenjei recaptured some of his former glory. BTW, didn't expect it to be such a short trip. Still, it was epic. And hey, Moiraine's back!

See, I don't think Mat got any less intelligent, but I do think there is too much pretending to be oblivious and/or goofy.

Faile - Like her now

Ok with her now. Much better.

Elaine - Don't like her now

I cannot stand her attitude. I get that there are some things she had to do, but still. Don't like her, not sure I ever did.

Egwene - Never liked her

I have liked her at points. I liked her in the beginning, and I liked her defense of the tower, the reactions to the challenges of the AS and her punishments. I do not like her position towards Rand. Wow, that was annoying to read, even though I do realize she has the least knowledge of his change of any of the major characters.

Nynaeve - Always loved her

Yup. Still do. <3

Min - Used to like her, now... meh

Um, always kinda meh, I think.

Aviendha - Much better now she's a Wise One

Nah, I don't know if I'll ever get used to the whole "shame" Aiel thing. I keep trying to convince myself that it can make sense, but crying because someone else is acting w/o honor? Eck. Though I am really interested to see how she "saves her people."

Thom - Still funny, hope he stays with Mat till the end

Yup. I wasn't shocked by the relationship with Moiraine, but I was glad they included Mat's reaction. :D I would have reacted the same way, if I weren't a reader.

Forsaken - still kind of suck

Yup. Didn't like the Graendal scenes.

Hopper - *sob*

Awwww! :cries:

Nicola - *no sob*

Duh.
