I beleive that Lanfear was on RJ's list of the top 6 forsaken who were always top of the pile while Rahvin was only flavour of the month at the time of the sealing. Rahvin may have though he could take her but it could well be that Lanfear knew she was strong enough to put up a hell of a fight and had the mental aggresiveness to back up her strenght.
While we don't know exactly Aginor seems to have been very strong but he lets himself be pushed around at Forsaken meeting by Demandred who cannot be so much stronger. Aginor and Moggy just dont have that "don't mess with me" attidude that some of the others have like Demandred and this allows them to be brow beaten.
