The whole practice of buying the prologue in advance is strange to me. A three dollar price tag is no big deal, but I don't see any need to read part of a book in advance. I want to sit down with a fresh, complete book in my hands so I can read it from start to finish. That to me is a more satisfying experience.
Obviously the market of impatient fans is there, so they'd be foolish not to take advantage of it, but I'd rather wait since I know I'll be buying the full book anyway.

I refuse to pay $2.99 for part of a book that will still cost you full price

Yeah. $2.99 Isn't really that much though, I won't buy it because the wait after it would kill me. *NM*

Yeah it's not much but it's the principle. They basically ripped you off *NM*

How so? Ripped off implies they are failing to follow through on some implicit offer

I love what Subterranean Press did with Sanderson's Legion novella.

I know, but the email is still sent to Subterranean Press. Didn't they make the ebook?

Eh, you could pirate the e-book prologue and buy the print book if the money's the concern

If you deside to pay, you're paying for getting it in advance. I think I can wait a couple of months *NM*
