First and foremost, hello to everyone. Some of you may know me as "karmapolice81," though I doubt most of you do. Okay, questions now.

One:

Forming a weave requires hand motions, yes? (well, doesn't necessarily require, but most channelers do). This is also true for AoL channelers, no? And I vaguely remember reading somewhere that Aiel Wise Ones do not use hand motions when channeling - is this correct?

Two:

I'm sure this question has been discussed before. When Mat is healed/severed from the dagger, why are none of the sisters who partake Yellow?



One: Hand gestures are only necessary because they were part of learning the weave. If someone were to learn the weave without them you wouldn't need them.

Two: Like was mentioned above, the Amyrlin was worried about who to trust. Also, I think it was less of a healing, and more of breaking a bond, or else it seems odd the Siuan would lead the circle.
