..but if it is just someone else saying "Don't use balefire" for the 1,000th time, there is no drama.

Besides, if it is a newly discovered forbidden weave, there is no reason to tell anyone NOT to use it as they don't know how to use it. The only reason to tell everybody not to use something is if they are already using it.

If my guess is correct and there is a problem with traveling and the bore, then it might explain how female traveling got "lost". Additionally, if there is a link between the bore, last battle, female traveling, it would explain why the Wise Ones had the proscription against physically entering TAR becasue that process is similar to traveling for women.
