That's a good question. I can't think why I left him off the list

Serious question.
I think I've not enjoyed a "final arc" so much in a very long time. The minute he went after Demandred I started laughing, and didn't stop until five minutes after reading his death scene.
Some part of my brain told me it was wrong to feel some much pleasure at the anticipated humiliating end and even worse during his scene with Galad, but the part of me that thought "fuck that, it's Gawyn" won.

I think I might have been dreading his success, but the bit with him curled up in a hole, whimpering his last breath urging his brother not to hate his brother's other brother (one good thing about all the deaths is it saves the twins from having to awkwardly explain a lot of their familial relationships down the road), was priceless. I have to wonder, does Sanderson realize how that whole bit was, or did he think it was a heroic finish and part 1 of Act III in the epic romantic tragedy of Egwene & Gawyn, rather than SOOO thematically suited to both of them.

Packing so much into Chapter 37 was Sanderson's brain child. *NM*

I'm just saying that Egwene's actions give the lie to her expressed priorities.

I don't fault her for PTSD, but for pursuing power despite valid reasons why she might botch it

Nah, tGS consisted largely of people talking smack to Gawyn and setting him straight.
