I asked if it was possible for a channeler to be tied, and her response was "I don't see why not." Jason brought up Rand and she said she didn't think he's tied to the Horn.


RJ has confirmed years ago the Dragon is one of the Heroes, that he has other purposes in other of his incarnations than fighting the DO, that in some of those incarnations the Wheel needed him and Hawkwing in opposition to bring about the correction the Pattern needed etc.

Maria just thinks he's not tied, and from all RJ has said on the matter, she seems wrong.
