Actually, we do have a little bit of evidence of the Dark One's plans. At the very end of the confrontation, when Rand seizes the Dark One and is going to kill him, his secrets are laid bare to Rand:

YOU REALLY ARE NOTHING, Rand said, knowing the Dark One's secrets completely. YOU WOULD NEVER HAVE GIVEN ME REST AS YOU PROMISED, FATHER OF LIES. YOU WOULD HAVE ENSLAVED ME AS YOU WOULD HAVE ENSLAVED THE OTHERS. YOU CANNOT GIVE OBLIVION. REST IS NOT YOURS. ONLY TORMENT.

In that moment, Rand can see the true plan of the Dark One and realizes that the oblivion that Moridin seemed to think the Dark One would give and that was offered to Rand was a lie. As Rand noted earlier, that was just the lie the Dark One used to ensnare Elan to his service.

I suspect the second vision the Dark One showed Rand of the world without good was the most likely result of the Dark One's victory, but that's just an educated guess.

This is what I meant when I was talking about great POSTER theories on the boards. AMOL didn't pay off what the DO really had in mind. Only showed us several options.

We have zip to prove that Moridin wasn't as much a dupe as the rest of the Forsaken. For all we know Demandred was right and that the DO would just let him reshape the world as he liked. Ultimately it seems to me that the DO seduced people by showing them they kinds of visions Rands saw, only twisted toward their own desires. For Moridin that was oblivion.

I thought Demandred was a pretty standard fantasy villain to be honest. Shows up with an UNSTOPPABLE JUGGERNAUT of an army and what I read to be the other male sa'angreal more powerful than Callandor (lame IMO) and kills a bunch of people. Gawyn, Galad and Lan should never have had any chance against a Forsaken ... But I do appreciate how they killed him off without ever having him lay eyes on Rand.

Graendal was the most effective IMO. Without her Demandred wouldn't have been able to do his job.
