In The Shadow Rising, Lanfear mentioned two sa'angreal stronger than Callandor that a male could use. Was the identity of the second one ever determined? If not, can Sakarnen be what she was talking about?
Sakarnen should never have been so powerful. The series was designed around Callandor being a huge prize that only Rand could draw, and then the CK. To introduce something bigger than Callandor was extremely weak.
Demandred could access a circle of 72, why didn't they just make his sa'angreal relatively decent?
...I don't actually remember anyone with any knowledge of how powerful Callandor was saying anything about Sakarnen's strength.
In fact, I don't remember anyone at all doing anything more then just randomly guessing about the strength of Sakarnen.
