It would be a great leap to see the One Power as a means to make profit, though, and an even further one to convince Aes Sedai that becoming artists and engineers to make beautiful and useful things is a worthwhile use of the One Power.

Combine that with ter'angreal and angreal creation, and this could be a great leap forward in how the 3rd Age approaches technology.

Ironically, getting over their holier-than-thou approach to what the Power should be used for would prove a very useful bar to ensure that nonchannelers continued to develop technology that doesn't require standing flows or the Power, so that it would become an avenue to drive innovation.

In my Mirror World, I imagine that Egwene survived (seriously, I think B. Sanderson just didn't think an ending where everyone survived would be good for the series and decided she could go out on a high note) and this is exactly what happened.
