Doesn't mean the WOT community is dead for all time. Things go in cycles. Maybe they'll make a tv series or a movie and suddenly the series will have loads of new fans. Maybe epic fantasy will make an unexpected comeback in in next few years. Don't write it off.

As for unresolved plotlines, I wonder what happened to the Shaido? There was never a satisfactory resolution to the damane issue. Perhaps most intriguingly, there's the fact that Gaidal Cain, Birgitte, and two other Heroes of the Horn (Elayne's twins) have been/are about to be born. The pattern doesn't spin Heroes out for no reason. The Last Battle might be done, but something major is still waiting to happen in Randland.
