... and also remember a number of good passages from Crossroads of Twilight, though it's true that unfortunately, the nature of the book leads to it being largely running in place, much like Towers of Midnight.

Of course, it must be said that I started reading The Wheel of Time after Crossroads of Twilight came out, so that gives me a different perspective on the thing than many others.

I'd still pick Crossroads of Twilight over Towers of Midnight though.
