Just like the books themselves. The excitement and passion for them were long, long gone by the time AMOL came out. I think BS did the best job possible, but obviously it wasn't "right".

Unlike many other fans, barring many problems with Towers of Midnight, I was still enjoying the series through Memories of Light itself, which I read ravenously.
But just after finishing it, almost all the interest dropped.
I'm not sure why, but I suspect that it was a scale problem: since the scope and the importance of the events went higher and higher as the series progressed, the difference between the end and the previous books was so big that I can't help but feeling the simple events at the beginning as almost irrelevant in comparison.
I mean, of course I know that without those smaller events earlier the bigger later wouldn't be possible, but I still can't bear myself to view them under the same light...
