Maybe he read the first couple books way back when, but there is no way he was ever the type of fan he proposed himself to be when he first got the gig. I remember the big blog post about how much he loved the series, how much it has meant to him and his writing career, etc. Then there were the posts after each book during his "re-read" detailing some of his thoughts on the series. Personally I think he paid about as much attention to reading them as someone needs to pay to comprehend every nuance of one of his books. By which I mean not a lot.

I remember seeing one or two of those and being very disappointed in the superficiality of his comments and impressions.

Great spot on the line change. I'm glad I still have the original hardcovers. Keep up the Egwene's evil posts, they're good stuff.

Thanks. Tonight or tomorrow (American time) for the next one.

I think he read them and had liked them, but wasn't a "fan" like one would find on these boards - 11/03/2015 01:39:55 PM 723 Views
I think it was mainly a publicity thing. - 13/03/2015 02:38:01 PM 734 Views
