Hmmm... fionwe1987 Send a noteboard - 13/11/2015 11:59:41 PM

I think Demandred's statements in the Prologue aren't that clearly indicative that he didn't know what happened to Asmodean. He says:

The Great Lord already knew how Rahvin had died. And seemed to know more of Asmodean than he.

But what the DO says is:

“ASMODEAN, TWISTED BY HIS WEAKNESS.”

This may indicate that the DO know Asmodean's link to him was severed, and even that Lanfear had shielded him. Demandred might have been completely unaware of these facts, and that is what he may be wondering about when he says the DO seemed to know more than him.

Obviously, your interpretation is possible. But I don't think it is the only one, leaving room for RJ's notes to have been from post-LoC as well.

I do wish RJ had dated his notes, or tracked changes.

I still tend to think Demandred in Shara was Sanderson's creation - 16/11/2015 09:07:28 PM 1955 Views

It's interesting that stopping Taimandred coincided with the drop in series quality. - 16/11/2015 05:02:38 AM 2194 Views
