in regard to Aginor's statement. He and Balthamel (sp) were sealed near the surface which is why they aged so profoundly. He was able to witness the formation and effect of Shadar Logoth. Hence the old friend old enemy statement. As for the ability to recognize evil present in all channelers I think it is no great leap to think the Forsaken can distinguish between different evils. The ability to travel to alternate worlds leads me to believe that Shadar Logoth like worlds could exist and that AS would be familiar with the possibility and the procedures to follow to protect themselves.
