A while back, someone said that a prominent character was left out of this book, is it safe to say then that character is Elayne?

Others have confirmed it's Elayne. Which automatically increases the chance of it being a good book. From the travelling circus in book 5, through the 'Lets spend three books searching attics' Bowl of the Winds search. That on resolution was replaced by the 4 book quest for the Lion Throne that could have been done with 'The daughter heir is here. Now she's queen.' With a visit from Rand to do the deed.

Elayne's been tied up with most of the dragged out plotlines so a TGS minus Elayne should be great.
