R.E. "Veins of Gold":
The only other time that phrase has appeared in the series is when Rand was bonded by his 3 birds in Caemlyn, I assumed the reference was to reinforce the theme of love being why Rand came back from the edge of the abyss, (almost literally with the magma beneath him...).
R.E. Mat chapters:
Thought he really wasn't well done at all. He seems...dumbed down a lot, more childish. The phraseology was such that I couldn't help but read his voice in my head as if he was a Jim Carey character or something, which is a shame.
"You've got travelling, don't you," being the main sentence of his I'm finding it hard to get past, it just seems to clumsy and makes him seem a bit thick... I can't really explain...he just asks too many questions. Ok, I'm failing to explain, hopefully someone more eloquent knows what I mean.
Other than the Mat thing, I thought this was an absolutely fantastic book and I'm very glad the series will now be finished!
Tylee's apperance near the beginning seemed like a bit of a Chekhov's gun situation or will we be seeing here again in ToM??

Mat should be commended on finally starting to enrich the language back to AoL standards.
