Rand's external darkness was the overriding reason she rejected his offer, but I think first impressions count for too much for the disappearance of that darkness to change her mind now. For all she knows, and for all we know, that darkness could pop up again tomorrow. I think Mat will need to intercede for any deal to take place as others have already said.
