God no, you must be joking? Please. He challenges Egwene for the most annoying character ever written award. A minor sub-character love interest to start, sinc ethen he been poorly realised, no direction, one of the most laughable 'tormented' characters around, and easily the weakest male story in the series. Another who should have been put out of their misery long ago. Characters like this are one of the reasons we're 12 books in and still 1200pages from the end. Waste of space.

I skimmed/skipped Gawyn's chapters in this book; I might catch up and read them later, but I'll stick to summaries for now ;)
