I read an interview where - at least as I understand it - BS openly stated that the ending of TGS truly meant that Rand had indeed become mad due to his stress (not the Taint) and that LTT's voice was just a delusion. IIRC, this would mean that Rand was already mad in TSR or TFoH, because he started to hear LTT's voice then. Maybe BS could verify this to you, so that we have a 100 % certainty on this matter.
The same applies to BS's apparent comment that he put a small clue to Asmo's murder into TGS. Maybe you can get him to elaborate a bit more on this..
