Yes RJ said balefire could technically kill the DO. Still, no matter how you slice the cake, the One Power is just an off-shute of the Creator's power. Not even he could get rid of the DO forever with the OP and he had ALL OF IT. The Choedan Kals are strong, but they couldn't channel every last drop of the OP at once even together and Rand only has(d) one.
I'd argue that the creator COULD easily get rid of the dark one. The creator created the DO, he imprisoned the DO, I imagine he has the power to destroy the DO.
Besides, the CK is gone anyways.
