When rand was showing, i think, narishma how to make baelfire just after escaping from semi and in front of Caddy -
he shot the baelfire at a coat or something and the coat disappeared.

Its never worked that way. If it was an inanimate object then a hole would appear through the object where the baelfire passed. The object only disappeared if it had a thread in the patern like a living creature.
