I believe Turak's sword was a curved one and it had a heron on it.
However, Rand would surely have noted that the sword had a dragon on it if he also observed the heron on the blade.
Also, Rand's new sword was found buried underwater under a statue in Arad Doman-- but not in Falme where Turak's sword was lost.
We can't be totally sure, but it sounded like Rand's new sword had been buried for a very long time and only unearthed recently.
I don't think it would make much sense to bury Turak's sword like that. Turak could have had his sword buried at his grave, but Rand's new sword was not found in Seanchan territory.
I think we are looking at something that was buried a long time intentionally.
