Gareth Bryne rightly asks how is that possible when he wouldn't have been in any danger from the assassin if he hadn't been with Siuan (close to her) when she went to rescue Egwene from the tower.

Siuan proves her total lack of qualification for the White ajah when she shuts him off with a lame 'don't ask questions on how prophecies/the pattern work'
