Rand's shield was being maintained by 3 AS when he broke free, and he stilled all 3.
But they only did that because they were under attack...the plan was to have him shielded by 6 at all times. But I understand your point..I was off by 2.The reason only one AS is usually needed to maintain a shield on a woman is because they are usually close in strength. Unless someone is much stronger than the person holding the shield a weaker channeler can shield a stronger one. Cadsuanne decided to have 3 AS hold the shield as an extra precaution, not knowing what tricks Semi might know.
Ok, I wasn't sure if that was the case or if it was another difference between Saidar/Saidin, or if it was just the result of a different author taking over. Thanks for clearing it up.
