Is it possible that after Mashadar destroyed Sammael, that Padan Fain gained the ability to take on his form in order to command Trollocs and etc? We've seen ridiculously creepy things done before by Padan Fain (blowing up like a balloon and etc) and I just think that since Mashadar is still in the Ways, perhaps this is an additional power he has gained.
Since when was Mashadar in the ways? Isn't that the black wind? On top of this, even if you didn't have these two confused, why would he be able to take on Sammael's form? And for what purpose? Why would he need it when he's already a force that Trollocs wouldn't want to come near? They'd probably obey him already out of fear or the connection he had with the dark one. It just wouldn't make sense from any point of view.

Not familiar with Padan Fain.

He still wouldn't have the Forsaken Mark that forces Shadowspawn to obey. *NM*

Perhaps he can re-create it now that Sammael has been absorbed by Mashadar. *NM*

I see no reason to believe that, if the best evidence for it is that it is not impossible. *NM*

Doesn't he still have the mark of the Dark One from being Tracker Fain? *NM*

That would be different from the Forsaken Mark

My mini-theory has to do with Mordeth/Mashadar choosing Sammael as a new vessel for itself.

I think that Sammael presents advantages that Fain's body doesn't.
