Twice will dawn the day, twice to live, etc. I think that Rand's death is an intermediate step in a larger process. The first step, the Battle of Caemlyn, will certainly be done by then. However, more is left to do - a great battle has been fought, but the world is not through with fighting.

But even after Shai'tan is defeated, the world is not through fighting. That's what the prophecy says. Even after Shai'tan is sealed, the land is divided by the return, and, if I am correct, this means there will remain tension between Aes Sedai and Asha'man, they won't simply merge and unite permanently.
The first rule of being a ninja is "do no harm". Unless you intend to do harm, then do lots of harm.
