And with the BA plotline being pretty much resolved now, I don't really see how the letter would have such an impact.
The letter, which Rand takes to be sincere, could give her an opening to insinuate herself into his circle.
Alviarin has to fear that Egwene will eventually tell Rand about Alviarin being BA. Moiraine also already warned Rand of Alviarin.
