But since Rand is linked to a person who has such a permission, he simply might have channeled the TP by using Moridin's ability to do it.

Of course, others suggest that the DO even allowed Rand to channel the TP, because he wanted to seduce him. However, if the DO thought that Rand might directly use the TP against him (if the DO isn't immune to the TP anyway, which also would make sense), I don't see him granting the usage.
