If this happened, then why did Rand not see Ishara and the founding of Andor as well? I think it has to be focssed on the Aiel.

Unless, of course, the focus is on male ancestors for the males who enter the ter'angreal and female ancestors for females. Gender differences are not unheard of in WoT, you know.
But in this case I believe the focus on Aiel history is more likely.
