Imho we've had too many Borderland PoVs to believe they're there because of Moridin.

Which is not to say that Moridin or other Forsaken might not be involved in it one way or another, but there has to be a more basic reason, a reason that makes sense to the four rulers themselves, why they are there. And I really, really doubt it's as crude - and ill-conceived - as trying to imprison the Dragon Reborn, particularly since the Aes Sedai coming along don't seem to be crucial to whatever it is they intend to do.
