Brandon Sanderson came to my town on Friday, and I took the Mistborn trilogy for him to sign. I arrived at Borders about 30 minutes after the signing started, and ended up waiting in line for an hour.
Around 30 minutes in, a woman from Seattle's Best (the coffee shop in Borders) came by with a tray full of hot chocolate samples--hot chocolate with a thick layer of whipped cream and sprinkled with broken candy cane pieces. The first sip went down the wrong pipe and I coughed delicious hot chocolate all over a book display. Oops. Luckily, it seemed to miss most of the books, being shielded by a cardboard poster.
At long last, I am close to the front of the line. As the guy in front of me got to Brandon's table, he immediately asked "Who killed Asmodean?" Brandon chuckled and said "Robert Jordan did."
Then it was my turn. I handed him my books and he signed. I asked him what question he is most asked at signings. "Who killed Asmodean?" is asked most, and "What is it like to be writing The Wheel of Time?" is apparently pretty common. Other common questions are about upcoming books: The Way of Kings, and whether there will be an Elantris sequel (at this point I told him I would be interested in reading that, and he told me it may or may not happen--it seems to be on his back burner, and he may get around to it later).
I had to leave right after I got the books signed, so I missed the Q&A.

Of course, [Quixote] carried it a bit too far. He thought that every windmill was a giant. That's insane. But, thinking that they might be...
