I don't think turning him into darkhound fodder would serve much purpose this late in the game, and having Slayer kill him strikes me as slightly anticlimactic--I think other Dark Tower fans can probably think of a similar letdown in the last book as far as the death of a major villain is concerned.


Seems to me that Fain is way more powerful than Slayer for one thing (maybe Slayer's death will be at Fain's hands). And it seems like a waste of a truly interesting character... IMO Fain has been far more evil than any of the Forsaken!
