Rand says that one Aes Sedai and one Ashaman, linked, can make a gateway MUCH bigger than his own, despite not matching his strength.

And 13 sisters in a circle makes a gateway 100 paces wide - approximately 25 times as big as Rand's largest gateway. And 13 sisters are no way near 25 times as strong as Rand.

When you add multiple channelers into a circle, they can make gateways far bigger than their comparative strength alone can account for.

So what it comes down to is that your contention is wrong.
