ToM will be the first time we see a second book basically 100% overlap in timeline with the last book. The rest of the series has been pretty linear up until now, but we know ToM will be happening concurrently (at least mostly) to the events in TGS.

Not to mention BSand writing it could easily affect "what's never happened before".

Sammael had no plot lines left to clear up... Graendal still has her "newly minted alliance with Aran'gar"
